We’re the Lutterworth Events Community Group!
We formed in the town of Lutterworth in 2019 with a goal of continuing the fantastic Picnic in the Park, which had been traditionally run by the Town Council. The event, which started as a carnival and more recently changed in the guise of Picnic in the Park, was removed from the Lutterworth Summer Entertainment calendar as the council decided they could no longer incur the cost of running it.
Three local residents previously involved in organising the ever popular event couldn’t bear to see it disappear and decided to form a community group to keep the event running. Rob Coleman, Julie Gardner and Mike Perks held their inaugural meeting in May, and publically announced the Lutterworth Summer Festival a day later!
