Lutterworth Events Community Group Present:

Sunday 18th August 2019

12:00 – 18:00

Coventry Road Recreation Ground

The Lutterworth Events Community Group (LECG) is delighted to announce that the Lutterworth Summer Festival will take place on Sunday 18 August 2019 at the Coventry Road Recreation Ground.

The inaugural meeting has already taken place and Cross
Counties Radio have confirmed they will work alongside the group as a partner
  Rob Coleman, Chair of
LECG, says “Their experience working with live acts and their commitment to
supporting the local community will be a great asset to us and I know they will
bring the festival alive with music”.

The Group hope to retain many aspects of the previous event such as the funfair, donkey rides & craft stalls but they also want to bring things more up to date.  “We want to offer new and exciting entertainment that will cater for all age groups from the youngest child to the most elderly” says Julie Gardner, Secretary of the Group.  “If anyone has creative ideas on how we can achieve this we’d love to hear from you.”

This date has been chosen so that the festival runs alongside the feast of St Mary, as the original Town Carnival used to. One thing is certain, Lutterworth residents will offer their support on the day and come out in large numbers for a fun-packed and enjoyable afternoon.
